Peru is an amazing country to visit. So much to see, and all so different. The country exhales history, culture, nature and vitality. In how many countries can such a vibrant and exciting modern life, combining the traditional and the fashionable, be seen alongside an incredible background of ancient civilizations whose relics are still scattered almost everywhere?

Naturally Machu Picchu and Cuzco are the main attractions, and a first-time visitor will rarely wish to miss these. Our circuits that feature these are of course our most popular. But Peru really does have many other stunning sights to see, such as the relatively close-by Amazon.

Although the conquistador Francisco Pizarro placed the foundation stone in the Cathedral of Lima, and was buried there on his death in 1541, his location became a matter of debate until workers found his coffin in 1977 while excavating.
