did you know...

The chullpas of Sillustani predate the Inca period, and are burial towers. In those days if you died your whole family shared the same fate, but at least food and drink were provided before the tiny doorway was sealed. The largest tower, the Chullpa del Lagarto, held dead bodies stacked 5-storey high on top of each other.
