Hello Mauricio,

This is the second time I have started an email to you.

Please excuse my tardiness in thanking you for your swift response to the altitude sickness I was experiencing in Puno. Thankfully the guide was able to recommend oxygen and electrolytes and I managed to continue as planned.
 

The previous day we had gone to the Floating islands and then a long trip on a slow boat to an island which name I forget right now. So we were on the water almost all day and enjoyed the Colca canyon and Arequipa.

We all had a marvelous time. Before this time the jungle experience and all the other experiences we had were so diverse that it was an outstanding time for us all. We saw so much and experienced so much that the 3 weeks seemed so much longer.

We are all well travelled people but I have to commend you on putting an excellent trip together for us and all the guides were excellent. Our guide at the Sandoval Lodge was superb as was our last guide Omar who took us from Puno right onto the plane to come back from Arepiqua.

We have stunning pictures, videos, memories and mementoes( we Bermudians do like to shop at the little markets along the way!)

The only thing we were relieved to get back to was the zero altitude in Bermuda!

Anyway much belated thanks, wanted to get something down before the weekend for you…

Sorry I am late in returning your answers. We could not ask for better service. After working in the missionary field, painting 12 dorms,and very dry in Cañete.

Did not know what to expect but Mauricio, everything went as you planned. Airlines, guides, transportation = buses and trains, hotels, attractions.

Sandoval Lodge, Casa Andina hotels and Sonesta hotels were great and the food and services at the resturants was great. It was so amazing to have all the services at airports we did not have to think (smile.) This was a trip prearranged that all was fantastic.

Will recommend Latin Discover and YOU Mauricio to others in Bermuda. This vacation was a vacation that we will never forget and we thank you, thank you soooooooooooo much for all the work, you helped us to enjoy every minute.

All have a few bug bites to take home (smile) and some had altitude sickness but was advised to take days slowly. Still had a Great Vacation

I want to thank you and your supplier in Lima for the outstanding service that was afforded me on my recent trip to Peru.
 

My accommodations were excellent.  The tour guides were very proficient in their knowledge of each area I visited.  The drivers were excellent managing those mountain roads with ease.

All pickups were on time.  To be met at the Lima airport was such a comfort for two women travelling alone to a city of over 9 M people and not speaking the language.

We had a unforgettable experience in the main square in Lima, when students approached our guide and asked if they could practise their English by asking us questions.  Encounters like this are priceless.

Also, we had 3 long days and were very tired.  However, to see ruins that are still being uncovered in the middle of the city and to contrast those while one is looking at the skyline of Lima was quite something.

Many thanks for all your excellent arrangements.  I would highly recommend your company to any friends travelling to Peru.

Dear Mauricio,

I have only just returned from my extended trip to the Americas and UK yesterday, and am wading through over a month of mail... Suffice to say that the Peruvian pre-cruise tour which you arranged was by far the highlight of my 5 weeks of travel!  The arrangements and organisation were top notch as was the accommodation and excursions.  Barb, Sheila and I are unanimous on this.

Again, a big thank you for a superlative few days in magical Peru! I have already endorsed your brand to many friends I have since shared my trip with.  I cannot say enough about how satisfied I was with absolutely every aspect of the experience!

Firstly your service has been great. I know we could have gotten better prices but your service made it worth the extra money. 

The pick up service was great and the young guy that gave us our information was very helpful and spoke well. The hotel in Cuzco was perfect

Our guide briefed us the night before and was good though his English was a bit patchy. The porters were great and did a fantastic job. The food was outstanding for the conditions and equipment they have to work with. 

I felt the hike could have been done in three days as we spent a lot of time waiting. But overall enjoyed the Inka trail experience.

Hello Mauricio, 

We are back at home with many great memories of our trip which will take some time to document. 

However one of the highlights of our trip was going to Macchu Picchu. For the most part of the trip all the arrangements as scheduled went as planned. We arrived on time in Lima and found our tour guide quickly. We  went to the Sheraton and the accommodations were very nice. Most everything went very smoothly. All of the tour package information  was in one package under "Colin Whiteheads". All the tour guides were pleasant, informative, helpful, all guides were excellent. 

Star Peru airlines as you suggested was a very good service. We all found the trip through the sacred valley fabulous, the lunch amazing, and the first part of the Hiram Bingham train trip wonderful.  It was as you may know not the normal full trip from Cusco to Machu Picchu, it was cut short by 2 hrs. Machu Picchu absolutely outstanding.  Every minute.

Overall I think you and your company Mauricio are very good to work with,

The trip was absolutely fantastic - far exceeding our expectations.  Your contacts could not have been more helpful and professional. Everyone was polite and extremely attentive. The guide at Machu Picchu - Darwin - was probably the most knowledgeable guide I have ever encountered, with a true love and passion for the place and appreciation of Inca culture.

Lake Sandoval  was a true find - and another magnificent, unforgettable experience. Overall, it was a trip Mati and I will never forget.  He is already pushing me to plan other trips to South America - all of which you will of course be involved in.

Thank you again for planning such an extraordinarily educational and awe inspiring visit to Peru.  We are deeply grateful.

I had fabulous time in Peru. Everything went very well. All the hotels were better than I thought and very cosy and breakfasts were tasty. Hotel staff was very helpful in every hotel. Tour guides knew much about places they told about. Flights, buses and trains were on time. It was very nice to see different landscapes and climates from Iquitos to Titicaca lake. In Maldonado walking tour in the jungle in the dark as well as boat trip on the river in the evening seeing for instance caymans in the dark was very interesting.

The trip was amazing. We have never used a tour company before, preferring to travel on our own. However, we knew that with 2 young teenagers, we needed a confirmed itinerary and some action packed days! And that is exactly what we got. 

The itinerary was the perfect blend of activity and more sedate tours. Everything worked like clockwork. The guides and Latin Discover representatives were always on time, and some went even so far as to contact us by telephone the night before a big day to confirm pick up times, etc. Everyone was very knowledgeable, and happy to joke around with us, so it didn''''t seem so much like a "tour", but a day out with a friend!

The white-water rafting was a highlight for our kids, and we appreciated the fact that the company changed the location of the trip to ensure our safety, even though it meant a 2 hour drive to the river instead of the planned 10 minutes.

Of course we loved the Hiram Bingham train, the Sanctuary, and our time at Machu Picchu. The climb up Huyna Picchu was also well worth it - although certainly almost pushing our limits!!  ;)

The hotels were all comfortable, clean, and had great staff.  We always felt safe and comfortable. The drivers were good, the guides were fun, and Peru was spectacular. We hope to be back one day.

Everything went smoothly, and everyone particularly enjoyed the Hiram Bingham, the Inca Trail hike(s) and the Sacred Valley hotel.

Muy Estimado Mauricio,

El viaje a Perú  fue inolvidable!  Muchas gracias por haber hecho los planes tan cuidadosamente.  Los servicios a recogernos fueron puntuales y corteses.  Nos hicieron sentir que les importaba que todo saliera bien.

Los hoteles fueron muy cómodos y limpios, los empleados corteses y al pendiente de que todo estuviese perfecto, así como también los servicios que ofrecieron tales como la clase de hacer ceviche y pisco sour.

Muy impresionada con el profesionalismo de todos los guías, muy en especial de David, el que nos dio el tour de Machu Picchu, sin quitar nada de los otros guías.  La Fueron siete días de mucho ajetreo físico y mental, pues llegaban a recogernos a las 6:30 A.M. y pasamos casi todo el día visitando lugares y aprendiendo mucho.  De todas formas tengo que repetir que disfruté todo porque todo fue planeado a la perfección.   También hicimos amistades que parecen muy buenas, y ojala las podamos volver a ver algún día.

Me hubiese gustado conocerle en persona, pero basta decirle que su nombre estará en mi lista de  recomendaciones para el futuro.

Estimado Mauricio,

Es usted un planeador unico!  Todo salio muy bien.  Las personas que usted escogio para ofrecernos su ayuda se portaron maravillosamente en todo momento.  Desde quien nos recogio en el aeropuerto hasta el chofer y el guia que nos llevaron al aeropuerto en Juliaca. 

Los hoteles y la comida seran de recordar por mucho tiempo.  Me volvi una aficionada de la comida Peruana... Quiero escribirle en mas detalle, pero baste decirle que le recomendare a usted y a su agencia a todas mis amistades.  Estoy tratando de contestar todo lo que pueda de e-mails (mas de 160) y Gracias a Dios que muchos son de tirar sin leer.  Usted y Joyce (mi colega de viaje) son muy buenos para hacer planes de viaje.  Deberian de abrir su propia agencia...
